Developer Vanimals has announced their next title, a zombie survival game called Undying. The game had already been announced in 2019 for PC and consoles. Thanks to Skystone Games, a new developer and publishing company from Bill Wang and David Brevik, Undying will be released on iOS and Android.
Undying was announced as part of the [email protected] showcase, which was originally scheduled to air during GDC. Unfortunately, GDC was canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the trailer was released online. The short one-minute video introduces the characters and the gameplay.
Eternal stars Anling, a young Chinese woman who moved to America. During a zombie epidemic, she is bitten and now tries to teach her young son Cody how to survive without her. Zombie Survival Game Undying Heads To Early Access Soon With Plans For Mobile Release
Players will need to make sure Cody can survive on his own by teaching him how to distract the undead, seek safety, cook, and other life skills before it’s too late. The task will not be easy. Others before her have already searched the city, making vital supplies even more difficult to find.
If Anling finds precious metal pieces, she can use them to make other useful tools or weapons. There are other survivors, such as traders, who may instead give the mother-son team a more useful item.
Time is over and the mother must move quickly. Anling has to find a balance between surviving on a day-to-day basis and teaching Cody how to defend himself and accomplish basic daily tasks that they once took for granted.
